The return of Galan/Lebron: "Fall in love with Rome"

For them, Italy is special: Italy brings back memories of victory in Rome in last year's Major, victory in Milan in the P1 of the Allianz Cloud. Ale Galan and Juan Lebron return to the Capital for a tournament that represents the reunion of the world’s strongest pair after months away due to Lobo's injury.

“2022’s best memory? There it is, over there – smiles Lebron, pointing to the photo taken during the awards ceremony at the Grand Stand Arena – but in general that first edition was a change of pace for the entire world of padel, something we will remember. The injury was complex, but I recovered well, I'm confident that I no longer have that pain that didn't allow me to play. I missed the daily routine, but I feel ready although we haven't been able to train much".

“It wasn't easy playing without Juan – explains Galan – and I missed him very much. I tried to stay at my highest level in order to be ready when he did come back." The heat in Rome is very humid, we will have to be careful, but it’s not the worst condition we have experienced, in Spain it was even hotter".

Again the Lobo, with his renewed energy, draws attention to the public of the Forum. “Padel is growing immensely, year after year. And playing on the “Centrale” is a dream, an iconic place that has made history in tennis. We love Rome and the Roman public: our relationship with the Italians is fantastic, there seems to be a bubble of Galan/Lebron fans who follow us and make us feel at home".

Galan closes, as the ambassador of padel which he is: “The presence of women is the demonstration that the Premier Padel project works. After all, it was in the initial objectives and therefore it is normal to have arrived here. Mixed doubles? I'm not ruling it out, it would be interesting, but also very challenging".
