Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria, the joint world No.1 in the FIP ranking, will lead the field in the first women's tournament of the Premier Padel circuit in Rome

For the first time, a women's tournament will take place alongside the men’s in the Premier Padel calendar at the Foro Italico. The BNL Italy Major Premier Padel, staged in Rome from July 10 to 16, will be remembered as the first "combined" tournament of the circuit, the official global padel tour and the only one governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and backed by the Professional Padel Association (PPA).
The No.1 ranked Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria from Spain will lead the field in Rome, alongside Gemma Triay/Marta Ortega, the rising duo Delfina Brea/Beatriz Gonzalez, Tamara Icardo/Maria Virginia Riera, the twins Maria Pilar and Maria Jose Sanchez Alayeto, Aranzazu Osoro/Lucia Sainz, Veronica Virseda/Claudia Jensen and Jessica Castello/Sofia Araujo.
According to the entry list Carolina Orsi, the Italian No.1 who won the historical first gold medal for Italy at the 2023 European Games in Krakow, and thye legendary Patricia Llaguno form the top-ranked duo outside the eight seeded teams in Rome.
The involvement of female athletes, under the leadership of the International Padel Players Association (IPPA), strengthens Premier Padel in every aspect as a platform for top-tier competition and the trusted tour of all professional padel athletes.
